Veep, Veep. Who Got The Keys To The Jeep?
[Editor's Note: We've got the Underrated blog back up and posting somewhat regularly again, so please check in on that.]I don't know that I've ever been as excited about a debate as I am tonight's VP debate. I don't think that Palin's going to make a complete ass of herself (at least not any more than she does on a daily basis just by speaking), because she's probably been told by numerous people "the less you say, the better," but I know there's going to be a couple of gems that slip out of her mouth.
Biden has his own speaking issues. He seems to be prone to rambling and he definitely gets distracted pretty easily. And even though you generally know what he means, he sometimes make silly mistakes (like the TV/radio
thing) when he's speaking.
Here's the difference to me: there's always a point wrapped up in what Biden is saying. Sometimes it takes a while to get there. Sometimes he turns around and pats people on the back while he's talking. Sometimes he confuses the mediums that were around 70 years ago. But you never get the sense that he doesn't know what he's talking about. Palin's a whole other story.
Anyway, I'm all geeked up.
